Looking South from Barton Ave. | Looking North-east from Palmerston Square |
This already named lane comprises the northwest boundary of the former St. Peter ' s School, the Toronto Catholic District School Board ' s elementary school that operated from 1972, when the school was built, until it was closed in the late 1990s. Originally affiliated with St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church on Bathurst officiated by the Paulist Fathers.
Since then the school has operated as a small Catholic Alternative High School. Currently part of Monsignor Frazer College: Alternative and Adult Secondary School, Annex Campus.
Local lore has it that this was one of the first lanes named within Seaton Village to be able to more easily direct pizza deliveries to Palmerston Square homes.
There are currently plans create a shared Seaton Village community/ TCDSB student park on the current southern school yard area.
